Danny and Elle's Long Road of Recovery
If you’ve ever had the joy of hearing Danny play, you know—his rhythm doesn’t just keep the beat, it moves people. But right now, life has thrown him a dramatic tempo change.
Danny isn’t just an incredible drummer; he’s a dear friend to so many. His music, laughter, and kindness have brought people together for years. Now, he and his wife, Elle, are facing one of their hardest chapters yet.
In early November 2024, Danny’s health took a severe turn. Since then, he has endured both a heart and kidney transplant, spending months in the hospital. His recovery has been brutal. During surgery, he suffered strokes. Post-transplant, his heart struggled, his kidney lagged, and blood clots led to toe amputations. Two bouts of pneumonia later, he’s still here—still fighting. But the battle isn’t over.
The new kidney isn’t functioning well, and Danny now requires dialysis multiple times a week. What was already a difficult recovery has become even more challenging. He remains hospitalized, needing close care and ongoing treatments. Meanwhile, Elle—who had been overseas caring for her ailing mother—fought to return home to be by his side. Now she’s here, but the challenges keep mounting.
Before his transplants, Danny juggled gigs at night and food delivery during the day to make ends meet. Now, with no steady income and mounting expenses, they face months—possibly years—of recovery with significant financial strain.
The Growing Financial Burden of Danny’s Recovery
- Insurance helps, but gaps remain – co-pays, medications, and treatments add up.
- Everyday expenses continue – rent, utilities, and groceries don’t pause.
- Recovery brings more costs – transitioning to long-term care increases financial strain.
Our moon shot goal is to raise $75,000 to give Danny and Elle the stability they need to focus on healing without the added strain of financial stress.
Every dollar raised will ease the burden on Danny and Elle, giving them the ability to focus on what matters most—healing.
